Global Imports of Tomato Products, Updated September, 2022

07/09/2022 - François-Xavier Branthôme - Architecture of Trade
Occasional signs of a relative slowdown are appearing, but monthly pace of tomato paste imports remains high and higher than those recorded before the Covid pandemic.
The total quantities of tomato paste imported by the Top20 importing countries (*) over the past twelve months (1.573 million mT, June 2021 – May 2022, pending on secondary results) were approximately 20,000 mT (1.3%) higher than in the previous corresponding period (1.552 million mT), and 150,000 mT (10.5%) higher than the average of the same periods of the three previous marketing years (1.423 million mT).

Comparison of monthly imports over past two years
