California: Weekly tonnage as of 29 July 2023

The 2023 California Processing Tomato harvest continues to be behind normal schedule.

According to the report published yesterday by CLFP, the cumulative tonnage processed as of 29 July was 748,958 short tons (679,443 metric tonnes) whereas it was already 1,891,431 short tons (1,715,486 metric tonnes) at the same date in 2022. 

 

A projected crop of 730,822 short tons (622,890 metric tonnes) was expected for week ending 5 August, to be compared with 774,906 short tons (702,983 metric tonnes) processed during the same week in 2022.
