Senegal: Salicrop and KAGOME collaboration increases tomato yield by 21%

Salicrop has teamed up with KAGOME, one of the largest processing companies globally, to boost tomato yield in Senegal. This partnership has led to remarkable results using Salicrop's technology. This milestone marks a significant achievement in sustainable food production, highlighting the power of collaboration in driving economic growth and food security in the region.

Salicrop, an innovative agri-tech company, has achieved a significant milestone in Africa by collaborating with KAGOME, the fifth-largest processing company globally, to increase tomato yield in Senegal. Through Salicrop’s cutting-edge technology, the two companies have successfully increased tomato yields by 21%, leading to higher quality and better tasting tomatoes, using united Genetic seed varieties. 

In a recent statement, the CEO of Kagome in Senegal, Mr. Kazuyoshi Morita, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Salicrop and the positive impact it will have on sustainable food production in the region. “The partnership will not only increase crop yields and improve farmers' income, but will also provide access to larger markets and help to drive economic growth in local communities. By utilizing Salicrop's advanced technology, Kagome and Salicrop are taking a significant step towards addressing the pressing need for sustainable agriculture and food security in the region”.

This collaboration aims to address the growing demand for sustainable food production in the region while ensuring economic growth for local farmers. By leveraging Salicrop’s technology, KAGOME and Salicrop are improving farmers' income by increasing crop yields and providing access to more significant markets.
