Ferrara Food rescued by Italtom

02/02/2018 - François-Xavier Branthôme - Lire en français
Italtom obtains the right to use the Ferrara Food's facilities

According to the Italian press, Italtom Srl, the entity born from the participation of the Piacenza-based companies Steriltom Srl and Emiliana Conserve Spa, has obtained in recent days the final award of the lease, with pre-emptive rights, for the company Ferrara Food (located in Argenta, Ferrara), recently declared bankrupt by the court of Ferrara.
The rescue of Ferrara Food by Steriltom and Emiliana Conserve will ensure the harvesting and processing of tomatoes during the 2018 campaign and give a new future and continuity to the company. The alliance between Steriltom and Emiliana Conserve in the new Italtom is part of a broader strategy of integrating the production and value chains spanning the worlds of processing and agriculture.
