Le Nigéria interdit l'importation de dérivés de la tomate

Le 27 mars, le gouvernement fédéral du Nigéria a interdit l'importation du concentré de tomates et de la poudre de tomates, et a augmenté de 5% à 50% les tarifs douaniers sur l'importation de certains autres dérivés, afin de redynamiser la filière nationale.
Selon les opérateurs concernés, entre 2015 et 2016, un total de 189 510,11 tonnes métriques de concentré de tomates ont été importées au Nigéria. « Ce volume est équivalent à 1 042 305,68 tonnes métriques de tomates fraîches. » La valeur du concentré de tomates importées au Nigéria s'élève à près de 170 millions USD, dont 50 millions USD consacrés au triple-concentré de tomates.
