U.S. Processed Tomato Stocks-on-Hand Report for December 1, 2024
According to the reports released by the California League of Food Producers (CLFP) on January 7, 2024, total inventories of U.S. processed tomato products were approximately 9.35 million metric tonnes (t) (10.3 million short tons), stated on a raw product equivalent basis, as of December 1, 2024. Inventory is up 7.1% from the prior year level. Apparent disappearance of tomato stocks has increased 2.9%, totaling approximately 6.9 million tons during the six-month period of June 1, 2024 to December 1, 2024, as compared to the prior reporting period.
Total bulk tomato paste stocks, including inventory held for remanufacture, were estimated to total approximately 6.96 million t (7.7 million tons), on a raw product “paid-for tons” equivalent basis, as of December 1, 2024.
The U.S. bulk tomato paste-for-sale inventory on December 1, 2024 was approximately 4.70 million t (5.2 million tons), on a raw product “paid-for tons” equivalent basis.
