Giglio Group brings Mutti to China

11/12/2020 - Press release , François-Xavier Branthôme
Implement the marketing strategy, promotion and distribution of products overseas

Giglio Group SpA, a company engaged in Italy in the design, construction and management of e-commerce platforms with high added value and listed in the Star segment of the Italian stock exchange (Ticker Gg.Mi.), has signed an annual agreement with the Mutti Group, international brand for tomato-based food products. A collaboration intended to implement the brand's marketing strategy, the promotion and distribution of products such as preserves, sauces, pastes, on the main marketplaces in China, including Tmall.com and JD.com.

In addition to the sale, the agreement provides that Giglio will also take care of the delivery, handling and logistics of the products, as well as the implementation of the marketing strategy to spread brand awareness throughout the Chinese territory.

Alessandro Giglio, president of the Group, commented: “The agreement is of great strategic value not only for the companies involved, but for the entire export sector of made in Italy food in China. Italian cuisine is a source of pride all over the world, but despite this, the entire sector has a poor penetration in the country with the highest demand for quality products. Italian companies are facing a great opportunity, exports to China of the Italian food sector in fact stop at 1.3% against 6% in France. There is still a lot of work to be done, this agreement adds an important element to the export of Made in Italy. It is therefore essential for a company to rely on a partner like us, who can support the customer not only on the more concrete aspects, such as logistics, payments, customer service etc., but on the fundamental marketing strategy that guarantees a correct digital communication strategy of the product in addition to the presence on the main e-commerce platforms in China ".
