14/07/2021 - François-Xavier Branthôme - 2021 Season
Provisional total is 6.5% lower than the average of past three years

According to the report published by Westcon Foods on July 12, the 2021 California processing tomato deliveries are steadily increasing. For week two ending July 10th, PTAB is estimating 147,760 metric tonnes (mT) (162,878 short tons, sT) will have been delivered to the factories and another 465,335 mT (512,944 short tons, sT) are estimated to be harvested in week three which ends July 17th.

Provisional total (650,516 mT) at this date would be 6.5% lower than the average quantity processed during past three seasons at this time (696,091 mT).
The 2021 crop is trailing every previous crop that PTAB has listed by week ending 7/17 (or near) going back to 2004, with the only exception being the 2020 crop which started late and was only into its second week by this same time.
