WPTC Southern Hemisphere Crop update as of 27 February 2019

WPTC crop update as of 27 February 2019
In Australia, the harvest is progressing well, with continued fine, warm weather. Fruit quality is excellent with elevated brix (5.37) vs budget YTD. Final volume estimate remains unchanged at 242,000 tonnes.

In Argentina, the tomato harvest is also progressing well, with good weather conditions and no rain. The forecast is the same at 430,000 tonnes.

In Chile, 35% of the harvest has been achieved as of today. The weather conditions are normal with temperature ranging between 15°C and a maximum of 31°C. No bad weather is forecast for the next ten days. Yields are according to the forecast, so the volume expected remains unchanged at 1,143,000 tonnes.
