The World Processing Tomato Council (WPTC) has a new President. At the end of his two-year mandate as President, Roger Scriven has handed over the leading role in the worldwide organization to Dimitris Nomikos, who was already Vice-President of the World Council and runs the biggest tomato processing company in Greece. The new President has stated how honored he feels to have been nominated for this role, and has expressed his intention to carry on the work that has been ongoing since the launch of the Association during the 1998 Congress held in Pamplona, Spain. 
He will be assisted in his role by the current President of the California Tomato Growers Association, Mike Montna, and by Jason Fritsch, the CEO of Kagome Australia, both of them nominated to the positions of WPTC Vice-President.
