Ruhubelent is the largest state-owned company in the country. It was founded in 2011 and specializes in the production of ketchup and tomato paste. It has its own areas for growing tomatoes and also handles the crops of a number of growers in the Dashoguz, Akhal and Mary “velayats” (three of the five provinces that make up Turkmenistan). The harvest is currently almost finished, and the processing of the crop is ongoing. Deliveries of raw materials will resume in the fall and continue until October, when the autumn arrival of tomatoes from Dashoguz growers is expected.
