Southern Hemisphere: 2020 harvest is on track

17/02/2020 - Sophie Colvine - 2020 Season
The 2020 harvest is currently ongoing in Argentina and Australia with no change in the previosuly reported forecasts of respectively 460,000 tonnes and 220,000 tonnes.

In Chile, the harvest started early in mid-January and quality is currently good although volumes are lower as was expected. The harvest will continue until the last week of April making it difficult to have a precise forecast but the estimate remains 855,000 tonnes if an average yield of 90 mT/ha is maintained over the 9,500 hectares planted.
