California: proposed prices for 2020 season

On 13 December, the CTGA conducted an exchange of offers with eight processors for the 2020 growing season. The offers range from USD 71.00 to 82.50 per paid short ton (from EUR 71.4 to 82.95 /mT, value March 2020 (1 USD = 0.9121 EUR)).
The following are the processors’ offers:
 
The base price put forward by the CTGA for 2020 is USD 85 per short ton (sT) (or EUR 85.5 per metric tonne (mT)), a considerable increase (approximately 12%) compared to last year’s proposal of USD 75.75 /sT and to the average estimated price for last season’s harvest of approximately USD 75 /sT).
