California Crop Situation as of 19 August

6 million sT expected by 25 August

Week ending August 12th brought in 1,033,263 short tons (937,000 metric tonnes (mT)) and for the week ending August 19th, the state estimate is 1,068,000 short tons (969,000 mT). By August 25th, if the projection of 1,060,000 short tons (961,500 mT) holds true, California processors will have harvested about 51% of the 11,800,000 short tons (10,704 million mT) estimated for the 2017 pack year.
 

Of the 1,033,263 short tons harvested during week ending August 12th, only 20,200 tons (18,300 mT) were Organic. Total organic harvested amount to 295,000 sT or 268,000 mT.
